On Saturday 17th January 2009, five members spent a sunny morning on Batchelors Farm and Nightingale Meadows sites, counting birds and enjoying lovely views of the South Downs.  Special birds included good views of redwing, fieldfare, goldcrest, kestrel, sparrowhawk, flock of meadow pipits and plenty of more common birds.
