On the Sunday morning workparty two dragonflies were seen: a brown hawker in Big Meadow, and emperor dragonfly in Old Arable.

Details of the butterflies recorded at Bedelands Farm on our usual Friday walk on the 2nd July in the compnay of 6 others.
Species recorded;
Small Skipper, 28
Large Skipper, 11
Large White, 2
Common Blue, 1
Red Admiral, 1
Small Tortoiseshell, 1
Comma, 2
Speckled Wood, 3
Marbled White, 1
Meadow Brown, 481
Ringlet, 60
Total, 591 butterflies.
Also seen, Silver Y, several 6 Spot Burnets, 2 Burnet Companions, Hornet and 3 Emperor Dragonflies.

During the guided flower walk at Bedelands today I noticed evidence of some Golden Pygmy moths at Bedelands as witnessed by the tracks of their leaf-mining caterpillars in bramble leaves.

A casual survey today on Hammonds resulted in us seeing
 
210 Meadow Browns,
6 Speckled Woods,
Large Skippers,
12 Small Skippers.
2 beautiful Demoiselle Damselflies.
1 Ruddy Darter,
6 Emperor Dragonflies.
1 Willow Warbler,
2 Chiffchaffs.
lots of Harlequin Ladybirds and eggs.

Number of Butterflies recorded today at Bedelands Farm, in bright sunny weather and pleasantly warm. 7 people met in the car park by the football club and the following butterflies were recorded:
Large White, (1)
Large Skipper, (10)
Common Blue, (12)
Red Admira
l, (1)
Small Tortoiseshell, (3)
Comma, (1)
Speckled Wood, (1)
Meadow Brown, (225)
Total of 254 butterflies, 8 species.
Also seen 6 Spot Burnet in abundance, a few battered Burnet Companion and a few Grass Rivulet.

Details of the butterflies counted on Bedelands whilst conducting our weekly survey, 7 people took part.

Large Skipper 1, Small White 1
Green Veined White 1, Green Hairstreak 1, Common Blue 88, Red Admiral 1, Small Tortoiseshell 1, Speckled Wood 3, Meadow Brown 18, Total seen 115 butterflies. 
The following moths were also recorded'
Silver Y 2, Cinnabar 2, Burnet Companion 22, 6 Spot Burnet 282, Yellow Shell 1 Extrapolating the possible numbers in the fenced off area in Valebridge Common of the pupa cases seen as an average of 25 per fence panel and assuming there are an approximate number of 150 panels show a potential number of 3500 6 Spot Burnets in one small area.

There has been a hedgehog and fox coming into my garden for about a week now and I have been taking videos and photos of them.  The fox likes bread and jam but I have seen the hedgehog licking the jam off the bread and one day it was nearly caught by the fox as it was doing it.
