Aerial map of Malthouse MeadowsLocation of Malthouse MeadowsGeneral:  This site of 17 hectares, owned by Mid Sussex District Council, lies to the west of Burgess Hill, between Jane Murray Way and Malthouse Lane.  It comprises meadows (currently farmed), hedgerows, recently planted woodland, a pond and the Pookebourne Stream.  The final section of the Leisure Path adjacent to Jane Murray Way, runs through here.  Its flora and fauna will be thoroughly surveyed in the next year or two to help devise a full management plan.  It is hoped to form a new ‘team’ within the Friends of Burgess Hill Green Circle, to help the council to look after this site which may be joined with Coulstock and Pangdean Lane.  Eventually there will be an information leaflet and self-guided walk ones too.

History: More information will be added later.

Flora/Fauna:  Further surveys will be conducted and the results included later.

Geology/Geography:  This section will be added soon.
