General:  This site is partly a Site of Nature Conservation Importance, mainly due to the resident great crested newts and wild flowers.  Planning permission is currently being sought to develop it for around 500 houses.  Eventually a ‘team’ within the Friends of Burgess Hill Green Circle will be formed to help look after the site in line with a new management plan.
