Location of Sussex WayGeneral:  This site of 5 hectares owned by Mid Sussex District Council, lies to the north-west of Burgess Hill adjacent to the A2300 between the Jane Murray Way and Fairplace Hill roundabouts.  It comprises meadows, hedgerows, parcels of young woodland, ancient woodland and a pond.  Though closed to the public at present, it forms an essential part of the Green Circle widllife network.  Prior to Its opening, its flora and fauna will be thoroughly surveyed in the next year to help devise a full management plan.  Soon after this it is hoped to form a new ‘team’ within the Friends of Burgess Hill Green Circle, to help the council to look after this site.  Eventually there will be an information leaflet and self-guided walk ones too. Aerial map of Sussex Way
